Travelling from Burlington GO to Hamilton GO station requires about 24 minutes. Keep in mind that not all trains travel to Hamilton during off-peak hours and you may need to connect with a GO bus.
Plains may be small in size, but giant in appeal. Plains Road, and Brant and Fairview Streets, have everything from car dealerships to stand alone restaurants. The Walmart Supercentre is an area staple and just a short drive away – the Mapleview or Burlington Centre Malls. Many grocery, retail, restaurants and professional services are shared with Aldershot.

In agreement with the City of Burlington the volunteer group, Friends of Freeman Station, have assumed the responsibility of preserving, restoring and managing the Burlington Junction Station, one of the last surviving Grand Trunk Railway stations. The building was saved from demolition and moved to its current location where the interior has been restored, a new platform added and tracks laid. The station has interesting railroad artifacts and a popular model train display.
